Children & Babies

We welcome little ones but do not offer any children's menus at the moment. Children's food can be brought but due to health and safety, cannot be heated on-site. Hot water can be provided for “bain-marie” heating of milk bottles.

Please let us know in advance if you are bringing a baby with a pushchair as we will allocate a table with more space for it.

 

High chairs can be offered. 

 

Dogs & Support animals 

We currently only allow guide dogs in the restaurant.

Cancellation policy

We require CC details for all bookings - No booking will be completed without CC details.

 

A confirmation email will be sent to you 48 hours prior to your booking.

 

We ask that any cancellation to your reservation be made no less than 24 hours prior. For no shows or late cancellations, you will be subject to:

a fee of £10 per person that will be applied to the cc on file.

 

For Covid related cancellations within the 24h period, we require a screenshot of the reported COVID-19 lateral flow test result confirmation provided by gov.uk to be sent to info@Darjeeling-express.com. A picture of the test itself won't be sufficient to trigger a refund of the cancellation fees. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.  

Meeting Asma Khan

Our chef and owner works most days at the restaurant, but has also other commitments scheduled. We therefore cannot guarantee her presence at the time of your visit.  

Bringing your own cake or “cakage”

A £25.00 flat fee per cake will be applied to your bill should you bring your own cake to the restaurant. Plates and cutlery will be provided by the restaurant. In line with our health and safety guidelines, we are not able to cut the cake for you but can provide a knife to do so.

 

Bringing your own bottle or “BYOB”

A £35.00 flat fee per bottle of 75cl and below will be applied to your bill should you bring your own. Magnums are considered as 2 x 75cl and so on. Glassware and service will be provided

for the restaurant.

 

Allergies & dietary requirements

Allergens are displayed on each menu. Some items can be altered to accommodate dietary requirements. Please be aware that most of our dishes contain onions, chickpeas and chillies. Although we are very vigilant to avoid cross-contamination, products could contain traces of allergens

Special Requests

Due to the limitation in our kitchen, we do not currently take special food requests. Alternatives for food allergies will be provided upon request.
